This policy applies to the Moniturbate Video Streaming Recorder Chrome extension published by moniturbate.com ("we", "us"). It covers how the extension collects, uses, stores, and shares user data. The website at https://moniturbate.com has a separate site privacy policy.

Single purpose

The extension detects video and audio streams in the Chrome tab you have open and lets you download original media files or record live playback to a file on your computer.

Information the extension handles

Processed only on your computer

• Website content and media URLs from the active tab, including playlists, segment URLs, titles, thumbnails, codecs, and resolution. This is used only to list streams in the side panel and to download or record the stream you choose.
• Web browsing activity limited to the current tab (the tab URL, title, favicon, and media network requests). The extension does not build a history of all sites you visit and does not send this information to our servers.
• Recordings and downloaded files written to the folder you choose or to Chrome's Downloads folder. We never receive these files.
• Settings such as quality preference, include-audio, save subfolder, rotate interval, and auto-resume preferences. Stored in Chrome local storage on your computer.

Sent to moniturbate.com (only if you opt in)

• Authentication information: if you paste a license key, the extension sends that key and the extension version over HTTPS to https://moniturbate.com/moniturbate_new.php to check whether the key is valid. The request body is { action, key, version }. It does not include page URLs, recordings, or cookies from other sites.

If you never enter a license key, the extension does not send user data to our servers.

How we use the information

• To list downloadable or recordable streams in the side panel.
• To save files you start, stop, or rotate.
• To apply your settings and, for licensed users, auto-resume.
• To verify a license key you submit.

We do not use extension data for advertising, analytics profiles, or resale.

What we share

We do not sell user data. We do not share tab content, media URLs, or recordings with third parties. License verification is processed on our servers. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business.

Limited Use

The extension's use of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements: user data is used only to provide and improve the extension's single purpose (detect, download, and record streams in the current tab). We do not transfer user data for advertising, and we do not allow humans to read user data except with consent, for security, to comply with law, or in aggregated internal operations.

Storage and security

• License keys and settings are stored in chrome.storage.local on your device.
• In-progress recordings use IndexedDB on your device and are deleted after the file is saved or the job fails.
• License checks use HTTPS.
• Media fetches for download/record run in your browser, using the cookies of the site you are visiting so that a stream you can already play can be saved. Those cookies are not sent to moniturbate.com.

How to delete your data

• In the side panel, Settings → Remove clears the stored license key and returns the extension to the free tier.
• Chrome → Extensions → Moniturbate Video Streaming Recorder → Remove, or clearing site/extension data, deletes local settings and IndexedDB parts.
• Files already saved to disk are yours; delete them in your file manager.
• If you purchased a license on the website, account/email data is covered by the website privacy policy.

Children

The extension is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the extension after a change means you accept the updated policy.
